Install GHL custom CSS and JS once, then never again

To install the GHL Customizer, paste one script line into Custom JS and one CSS line into Custom CSS, both under Agency Settings → Company → White Label in your GoHighLevel agency view. It takes about two minutes. After that, every design change you save in the editor goes live on the next page load, with nothing to reinstall.

How do I install GHL custom CSS and JS for the customizer?

  1. Step 1: Log in to the customizer

    Open customizer.ghlcustomercare.com and sign in with the email and temporary password from your welcome email. Change the password when asked.

  2. Step 2: Save a design

    Pick a theme and anything else your package includes in the live editor, and save. You can change all of it later.

  3. Step 3: Copy your two lines

    Open Get code in the editor. It shows the script line and the CSS line with your own key already in them.

  4. Step 4: Paste the script into Custom JS

    In GoHighLevel, go to Agency Settings → Company → White Label and paste the script line into the Custom JS box. Save.

  5. Step 5: Paste the CSS line into Custom CSS

    On the same page, paste the import line into Custom CSS. This is what styles the login page. Save.

  6. Step 6: Reload and check

    Reload GoHighLevel in a new tab. The theme appears on the next page load, and the login design on your white-label login domain.

YOUR-KEY stands for your account’s own key. You never type it: the editor’s Get code screen shows both lines with it filled in, ready to copy.

Custom JS or Custom CSS: which line goes where?

Both boxes are on the same White Label page. Mixing them up is the most common reason nothing appears.

Custom JS

The script line

Loads the theme, menus, dashboards, boards, contact actions and in-app widgets inside GoHighLevel.

Custom CSS

The @import line

Styles the login, two-factor and password-reset screens, which load before any script can run.

Client websites

When the install does not go to plan

01Where do I paste custom JS in GoHighLevel?

In your agency view, go to Agency Settings → Company → White Label and use the Custom JS box. Paste the script line from the customizer’s Get code screen there and save.

02Where does the custom CSS line go?

On the same White Label page, in the Custom CSS box. The customizer’s CSS line is an @import of your login design, so the login page, two-factor and password-reset screens pick it up.

03Do I need to reinstall after changing my design?

No. The script and CSS lines load your saved settings from the customizer each time, so every change in the editor goes live on the next page load without touching GoHighLevel again.

04I pasted the line and nothing changed. What now?

Reload GoHighLevel in a new tab or private window to bypass the cache, check that the line was pasted whole into Custom JS (not Custom CSS), and that your domain is one of the allowed domains on your account. If it still does not show, write to us with a screenshot of the White Label page.

05Will it conflict with CSS I already have?

It can sit alongside existing custom CSS. If an older hand-written rule fights the theme, remove that rule; the customizer covers the same ground and is maintained when GoHighLevel changes.

06Can I remove it?

Yes. Delete the two lines from White Label settings and GoHighLevel returns to its default look on the next page load. Your designs stay saved in the customizer.

07Do you need my GoHighLevel login to install it?

No, and you should not send it. The install is two lines you paste yourself in about two minutes. Support can talk you through it.

08Does it work on sub-accounts I create later?

Yes. The agency White Label settings apply to every sub-account, existing and new, so a new client gets the theme on their first login.
